Summary:Two sequences giving additional coverage to Sergeant Johnson's material showing trials at Barton Stacey Petrol Warfare Department experimental station, and more of the widening of a bridge on the A36 Salisbury- Southampton road.
Description:I. Phosphorus bombs explode in weirdly beautiful patterns in the air 50-100 feet above ground during the testing of an experimental 7.92-inch self-propelled mortar. A serviceman drops a bomb into the mortar mounted whose specially-adapted Valentine tank chassis rolls slightly with the force of the recoil.
II. Wiltshire County Council workmen are seen building an extension to the width of a bridge on the A36. A US Army Diamond T 4-ton dump lorry tows a trailer carrying a bulldozer tractor across the bridge while the men are at work; note that the bulldozer's blade is carried in the dump lorry itself.
