Description: At 2nd Army's Main HQ at Creully (?), Lieutenant-General Dempsey meets Vice-Admiral Kharlanov, Major-Generals Sklyarov and Vasiliev and Colonel Gorbatov; among the British officers seen escorting the Mission are Brigadier Firebrace, chief of the Russian Liaison Group, and a captain interpreter. Kharlanov inspects Main HQ's defence platoon. The Soviet officers leave the Information Tent to commence their tour of inspection. At a forward airstrip, an RAF group captain shows the Mission the 20mm cannon and 6-inch rocket armament on a No. 175 (Mauritius) Squadron Typhoon fighter-bomber. At 2nd Canadian Corps' Main HQ at Camilly, Kharlanov takes the salute as a band plays the Soviet National Anthem and, accompanied by the corps commander, Lieutenant-General Simonds, inspects its defence platoon. Canadian, British Division's HQ at the Faubourg de Vaucelles, Major-General Erskine briefs the Soviet officers. Back at Army HQ, Dempsey sits down to discuss the campaign with the Mission and escorts the Soviet officers for dinner.
