Summary: 104th Fire Fighting Company tackles a fire in a garage in Caen.
Description: The RSM gives the alarm to his firecrews (several takes) who dash out from their dugouts, where they have been on standby, to man their fire appliances. 60th Fire Brigade's Bedford QL fire tenders with pump trailers in tow drive through Caen past the Lycée Malherbe and the Abbaye aux Hommes. At the scene of the blaze, army firemen dismount from their fire tenders and run off hoses connected to the trailer pumps to a fire hydrant in the road and into a stream nearby. Two firemen direct a jet of water onto the burning remains of a garage. Once the fire has been extinguished, the hoses are drained of water and are then rolled up prior to the firemen's departure.
