Summary:
Description: Among the ruins of the Schneider steelworks at Les Colombelles, an industrial suburb of Caen, pioneers and sappers are seen at work; pioneers feed rubble and lumps of masonry into a stone crusher. The enormous amounts of stone chippings produced by the process are seen being piled high into large heaps by RE- manned bulldozers. The chips are then transferred into waiting tipper lorries by a mechanical grab; one such vehicle is seen heading off to a nearby road construction site.
