Description: A Wehrmacht soldier from the 271st Infantry Division is brought back from 59th (Staffordshire) Division's bridge-head on the east bank of the Orne as a prisoner of war. From the west bank near the village of Goupillieres, the camera looks towards the powerhouse and weir over the Orne where sappers serving with the 509th Field Company RE have laid a single-span Class 40 Bailey bridge over the remains of an old bridge destroyed by the Germans.
