Summary:
Description: The inhabitants of Lens, an industrial town situated some ten miles north-east of Arras, rush into the streets to welcome the 11th Armoured Division. Those guilty of co-operating with the Germans during the occupation are immediately rounded up; three women, their heads shaved, are put on parade by their FFI captors. Other Resistance men take a joy ride on a Sherman tank. The advance towards the Belgian frontier continues; an 11th Armoured Division Sherman crosses an intact bridge outside Lens and heads towards Carvin, the division's next objective.
