- Description: Filming from the east bank of the Albert Canal, the cameraman observes northbound traffic - four Diamond T bridging lorries carrying pontoon sections and despatch riders - using a 120-yard long Class 40 Bailey bridge assembled by 30th Corps engineers on two canal bridges and southbound vehicles crossing the German-built trestle bridge in the background. A Bedford QLB trailer from a 2nd Army LAA Regiment with a Bofors gun in tow is seen travelling with two universal carriers from the 6th Battalion Durham Light Infantry (?) along a one-way route into Beeringen before taking up position alongside another Bofors AA gun guarding the canal crossings; a captured Mercedes-Benz light cargo lorry and trailer, motorcycle riders and Fordson WOT6 lorries dash past in the background. The cameraman focuses on traffic using the Bailey resting on the canal barges; seen with Albion BYS, Austin K6, Leyland Retriever bridging lorries and an early-mode CMP lorry towing a 3-ton bridging equipment trailer (all from the same RASC bridging unit) are Austin K5, Bedford OY (one from a Guards Armoured Division RASC unit) and QL 3-tonners, Bedford MW trucks (one a 179th Field Regiment RA wireless lorry) and a Sherman ARV.
