Summary: Dramatised Army Instructional film in which a section of British infantry are cut off and captured by an unidentified enemy. As the narrator explains that it is every captured soldier's duty to escape, the Corporal in charge encourages his men to get away whenever an opportunity presents itself, preferably sooner rather than later. By means of careful preparation, diversions, hiding places and by taking advantage of the confusion caused by air attack, all but two men get away, and the Corporal personally leads two of his men back to British lines, carefully avoiding the enemy, living on plants and captured wild animals and noting any information that may be of use to intelligence officers on his return.
