Summary: Dramatised Army Instructional film in which a Battalion of the Cheshire Regiment provide assistance to the civil authorities on the fictitious British-ruled tropical island of Sembaga. The Communist insurgency aimed at the overthrow of British rule is defeated by careful use of soldiers in support of the civilian police, particularly in the areas of curfew enforcement, road checkpoints, and cordon and search operations. When a large crowd is incited to attack the island's newspaper printing works the use of military force, including the shooting of a civilian, is instrumental in restoring order, and, combined with other measures, will lead to the eventual defeat of the insurgency.
