Summary: Army Instructional film showing how a chain of communications is established and maintained from a Battalion in the field to Brigade, from Brigade to Division, from Division through a radio relay station up to Corps and from Corps level into the Commonwealth Army Communications Network (COMCAN), the Army's world-wide radio communications system, allowing the transmission of messages from units deployed abroad back to the UK and on to the Ministry of Defence. The film then covers the handling of messages at permanent stations in the UK through automated systems, and the maintenance of those systems by Royal Signals personnel.
