Reel 2 -High speed diesel injector equipment. The component parts of a Bosch fuel pump plunger are explained. The flow of fuel oil and the operation of the pump unit is also fully explained, and the pump plunger operation is demonstrated in four positions. The Bosch injector and component parts are enumerated also. The flow of oil, the operation of the injector and ultimate injection of fuel is explained.
Reel 3 - High speed two-cycle diesel engine. A sectionized four-cycle diesel engine is converted step--by-step into a two-cycle uniflow engine. The two-cycle engine is shown in operation, then contrasted with a four-cycle engine. Finally, a detailed description of the Rootes blower is given.
Reel 4 -The General Motors Injector unit. The General Motors injector unit, its location, and how actuated is seen. The operation of pump plunger and bushing is explained. Automatic injection timing is shown, as in the operation of the injector nozzle and ultimate injection of fuel.
