Summary: HRH Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, visits Deepcut to take over as the Colonel-in-Chief of the new Royal Logistic Corps on formation day.
Description: Scenes at the Directorate of Clothing and Textiles tent: Princess Anne arrives by car, meets soldiers and enters. Brief shots of interior of tent. Royal party then makes its way across to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal tent (exterior only). Princess Anne meets soldiers of various different trades within the RLC: fireman, storekeeper, supply controller, dog handler, ammunition technician, baker and others, and inspects static displays including Pioneer Labour Support Unit tent, Local Resources Section of 82 AB GS Squadron and many others. Inside the new Regimental Headquarters, Princess Anne meets senior officers (in civilian clothes), signs visitor's book and unveils a plaque as Colonel-in-Chief.
