Summary: Challenger tanks of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards prepare for departure from base at Fallingbostel to be delivered to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Shield.
Description: Large tank park: the Challengers are all painted in desert camouflage. A convoy of Scammell tank transporters of 617 Tank Transport Squadron Royal Corps of Transport arrive and park in a line. One by one, the tanks (their turrets facing backwards) are driven onto the backs of the transporters. The tanks are secured in place (this process seen from various angles, including close-ups). Interviews with Trooper Doak of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards and Corporal John Smith of 617 Squadron. Close shots (from the front) of the line of tank transporters.
