Summary:Record of Trial Glossop, carried out off the south coast of England in October 1965, with Leander Class frigate HMS Penelope (F.127) Rothesay Class frigate HMS Plymouth (F.126), and Dark Class fast attack craft HMS Dark Intruder (FPB.1118). The trial was intended to test procedures for all aspects of naval operations in a chemical warfare environment, using Hunter and Seahawk aircraft to simulate conventional and chemical attacks.
