Summary: Navy Instructional film on the preparations necessary before an amphibious landing, in this case on the coast of a friendly nation in danger from an undisclosed threat. The film begins with a short look at the planning briefings and meetings necessary before embarkation in the Landing Platform Dock HMS Fearless (L.10). The choice of landing beach is discussed with reference to intelligence reports from various sources, and plans made accordingly to embark vehicles in such a way that they can then be disembarked in the order that the landing forces will require them. Soldiers are shown practising the embarkation of various vehicles on shore, using an improvised mock-up of the ship's vehicle deck, before making final checks and preparations and arriving onboard HMS Fearless. The vehicles are properly secured for sea and the embarked soldiers shown to their accommodation.
