- Description: I. The Sergeant works underneath the engine of a Fordson utility truck; he reaches for his tools. II. The Sergeant walks towards a well, situated outside a thatched cottage, with a bucket in his hand; he draws water (2 versions); various shots of the cottage (upper window, front door). As the Sergeant winds the well handle, he pauses to listen, and lets go of the wheel. He pours water into the bucket, and walks towards the cottage. III. The Sergeant sits by a haystack, sewing his tunic; he drops his needle. IV. An airman throws darts at a board hanging on a tree; another looks on (three versions, until the airman scores adequately...). V. Panning shot of the countryside; another shot of the cottage window; various shots of farmyard animals (ducks, rabbits in cages); shots of washing, hanging near the cottage, and of the sky, the Sergeant listens, two panning shots of the countryside, and of cows grazing.
