Description: I. 95ft of short scenes, depicting bomb damage to houses and shops. Men sweep the road after an air raid, film of rubble and gutted houses, a shop plaque reads "Deadman, Builder and Decorator", film of destroyed shops (furrier etc). A policeman helps a woman with rescued belongings.
II. Balloon squadron (continued). Men hammer in pegs, others queue up for tea and help themselves, near some tents, shot of men sitting on grass; one drinks while another unloads his personal belongings from a truck, gas pipe is opened, and a balloon is seen inflating, (again, 'cut' to same time), but clearer footage than ACB 36. A man fixes a weight to the balloon cable, film of the winch control cage in action, children lying on the grass, look up at the winch control cage in action, children lying on the grass, look up as the balloon ascends, film (shot through trees) of balloon in sky, pan up the cable to fully-inflated balloon in flight. A man gets into control cage, film of tents in a field, of man unloading his kit from a truck, of men going into their huts, and of tents being erected.
