Summary: Army Recruiting film in which four recruits to the Territorial Army's 3rd Battalion, the Royal Regiment of Wales are followed through the selection and training process. The film begins as the Prince of Wales meets soldiers at an official function, with scenes of soldiers under training interspersed. The traditional Eating of the Leek ceremony is shown taking place at the Regiment's St David's Day mess dinner at Cardiff Castle. The four recruits are then introduced, and shown undergoing fitness, parade and weapons training. Each gives his own views on the experience, and the film culminates in a Commanding Officer's inspection and the end of basic training.
