Summary: Army film in which Ernest Bevin MP, then Minister of Labour, explains the importance of manpower to the nation and the war effort. A military hospital is then shown, in which injured men carry out as much exercise as possible, depending on the nature of their injuries. After being discharged they are sent to a convalescent depot where they are medically graded and given as much work and exercise as possible in a progressive system designed ultimately to produce combat-fit soldiers.
