- Description: Shots of HSL No 183 at a mooring buoy are followed by film of the crew casting off, and of the HSL leaving at speed, the rigging of the 'film' craft is in full view); a Spitfire flies low over the sea - a smoke bomb is shown floating on the water; the Spitfire flies over again, and this time is actually seen dropping a smoke bomb onto the water - the smoke bomb explodes, another two smoke bombs are dropped (neither explodes on impact, but both are shown in delayed action); the Spitfire flies overhead, and drops a self-inflating rubber dinghy. The HSL captain stands on the bridge, and gives the order to cast off; he is then seen going up on deck, via the hatch, and looking over the side (two takes).
