The presenter flies as passenger in a Fairey Swordfish, joined briefly in the display by a Spitfire and a Hurricane. An aerobatic display team of RAF Central Flying School instructors in Jet Provosts gives a display, followed by a Royal Navy team of Sea Vixens. Finally the Hawker P.1127, the prototype of the Harrier, makes its first public appearance, demonstrating the ability to hover and land vertically.
