Summary: Second World War Ministry of Information newsreel trailer encouraging people to make a Blitz Pact with a friend in order to have a place to stay should they be bombed out of their own home.
Description: Inside a small barber's shop a waiting customer reads a newspaper report on a recent air raid. The barber and the waiting customer discuss whether the Blitz is back again and the likelihood of their own homes being hit by a bomb with the conclusion "what's the use of fussing when we can not do anything about it..." The current customers removes the hot towels from his face and answers "that's where you are wrong, you can do something about it... Blitz or single bomb, your house could be smashed today - what are you going to do about it?" Instead of going to a Rest Centre he suggests that they should make a Blitz Pact "Choose a friend of yours who lives far enough away to make sure that you are not both going to be bombed out in the same raid. Fix up for your family to go to his house long enough for you to make proper arrangements. If he is bombed out he comes and stays with you - its a pact, a Blitz Pact". The barber and the other customer agree that such a pact is a good idea and the customer asks "whereabouts do you live, Fred?" The end caption states MAKE A BLITZ PACT NOW.
