Underway looking towards another destroyer. Looking forwards from rear superstructure; a White Ensign flies behind a funnel. Looking forward with a quadruple 2-pounder 'pom-pom' in foreground. Good views of HMS Eskimo. Eskimo opens fire on Japanese positions. A light aircraft (a Stinson Sentinel?) passes overhead. A landing ship comes alongside. Indian infantry of 26th Indian Division transfer to the landing ship. Various types of landing craft, including Landing Craft Mechanised 1317 (LCM) passing and heading ashore up a chaung (river of watercourse). Hawker Hurricane fighter-bombers (of either RAF or Indian Air Force) overhead. Beached LCMs. Men going ashore from a Landing Craft Infantry (Large) (LCI(L)). Indian infantry passing camera.
