Summary:Second World War British Ministry of Information animated cartoon newsreel trailer stressing the continued need for domestic workers in hospitals
Description:To the tune of Lillibullero, a figure of John Bull, accompanied by his bulldog, marches around a corner and pastes "WELL DONE" paper stripes over recruiting posters for factory workers, WRNS and the Women's Land Army. Assisted by his bulldog who holds the pot of glue, John Bull pastes a stripe on a poster calling for domestic workers for hospital, this stripe unrolls to reveal the words "THOUSANDS MORE WANTED". John Bull steps back and scratches his head. The poster bursts open to reveal photographic images of a new mother, a young girl and a wounded soldier. The commentary referring to the photographs states "Yes, she wants help, and that youngster, and he must had everything of the best". John Bull replies "It can be done" and pulls a poster from his back pocket and pastes it over the existing poster. This new poster turns in to the end titles "Domestic work in hospitals is a priority job. Thousand more resident and daily workers wanted. Enquire at your nearest Employment Exchange."
