Description:The film opens with hands playing a comic cartoon style guitar and a paintbrush dancing under a piece paper stuck on a board SAVE YOUR BACON. A series of cartoon drawings illustrate the sung commentary "The was a old farmer who had an old sow, but he could not feed her no how. The sow she grew so terribly thin, so he went to the town and looked in, every official food bin". The farmer then accosts the women of the town. "You'll get no more bacon that's flat, if you don't help old sow to get fat. So what will you do about that?" The women search around for scraps and fill a kitchen waste bin. "No bacon for breakfast, let us make haste, then back to the farmer they raced" The farmer states "There's valuable vittles in waste". The fat sow wins a prize in the Fat Stock Show. The sung commentary concludes "The moral can not be mistaken, just look at the prizes she's taken, so that's how you'll all save your bacon!". The film ends with a sign on a wall over a pig bin PUT YOUR SCRAPS IN HERE AND SAVE YOUR BACON, with the sow looking over a fence on which is painted NO BONES, PAPER, METAL, OR GLASS AND KEEP YOUR SCRAPS DRY.
