Description: General Smuts' car passes between two lines of the RAF Regiment. Smuts, Leigh-Mallory and General Hoyt Sanford Vandenburg are seen talking together, about to walk into Headquarters. Another two cars pass between the two ranks, and Churchill is seen shaking hands with Leigh-Mallory and Smuts. The king, Churchill and Smuts are greeted by Leigh-Mallory. An RAF photographer follows the group indoors. The king shakes hands with the other members of the group, after leaving HQ Smuts gets back into his car. A small crowd (mainly WAAFs) waves, as the three cars leave. The crowd begins informally to leave.
