Description: Rhino ferry heads inshore with a mixed cargo of DUKWs and trucks. In the shallows, a LST unloads vehicles directly onto the beach. LS of an explosion on the shore. Sequence showing a tug maintaining the position of blockship 529 as she is sunk next to a companion - 529 lists to port as she settles. MS of the juncture between 529 and companion. LS to shore where a pall of smoke rises. MSs of 3-ton Ford CMP truck driving from LST 415 onto a Rhino ferry - in the background is LCT(5) 2011. MS off the starboard quarter of a LCT(5) and a Rhino laden with trucks and a mobile crane. A flotilla of LCI(S)s pass the camera vessel in line ahead - LCT(4)s pass by on an opposite course - destroyers are anchored in the background. LCG(L)(3) fires over the port beam towards the shore (Hunt Type III destroyer escort in the background) - pan left over scattered invasion craft, and the coast shrouded by smokescreens. MLS of LCT(5) and LCT(4) anchored together. Shells from German batteries fall amidst LCM(3)s making for shore, and somewhat short of a flotilla of LCI(S)s. Two LCG(L)(3)s lie bows on to the coast - the rear vessel opens fire. LS of black smokescreens, and MCU of smoke pouring from the funnel of the cameraship (Hunt Class destroyer escort) to disperse to starboard. MLS of LCI(S) underway, with a LCG(L)(3) and destroyer in the background - the LCG opens fire. Track past HMS Mauritius as she lies with turrets and main director trained over the port beam - S Class destroyer lays white smoke in the background. Final MLS of an armed trawler (Northern Gem ?) underway.
