Summary:
Description: At a section at a time, infantrymen serving with the Welsh Regiment dash across the main Nijmegen - s'Hertogenbosch railway at Rosmalen beyond the eastern outskirts of s'Hertogenbosch. A Sherman Firefly tank from the 5th Inniskilling Dragoon Guards 'A' squadron travels along a 'bund' road past checkpoint towards the city. Universal carriers from the 1/5th Welch Regiment's mortar platoon (?) make their way along the Nijmegen-s'Hertogenbosch railway to join the battalion inside s'Hertogenbosch. Dutch civilians fleeting the fighting pass the corpses of two Germans lying in the road as they leave their city; escorted by an RAMC orderly and a rifleman (1st East Lancashire Regiment?), prisoners from the 712th Infantry Division wheel a wounded comrade to safety past their less fortunate countrymen. Armour from the Inniskilling Dragoon Guards' 'B' Squadron and the 141st RAC's 'C' squadron and infantry from 7th Royal Welch Fusiliers move up to and across the Leigraaf river prior to an assault across the Zuidwillemsvaart Canal in the city. Together with their vehicles, personnel from a captured Wehrmacht field ambulance unit leave s'Hertogenbosch under British supervision and pass a Dutch woman busy retrieving some of her possessions from the wreckage of her house.
