Summary: [PN 1152] General Lawton Collins, accompanied by Lieutenant General Cuttenberger, arrives at Orly Field where they are greeted by General Gruenther, General Biddle and other officers. At the French Ministry of Defence, General Collins meets Major General Clement Blanc (French ETAT Chief of Staff). At the end of his visit to Paris, General Collins delivers a speech, praising French troops fighting in Korea, at Orly Field (newsreel cameraman in attendance). General Lanham accompanies him. Before boarding his USAF transport aircraft, General Collins says farewell to General Eisenhower.
[PN 1232] Arriving at Orly Field, General Omar Bradley is greeted by honour guard and a number of officers, including General Juin, Field Marshal Montgomery, Admiral Lemonnier and Admiral Brind. Field Marshal Montgomery is seen outside the Supreme Commander's office at SHAPE Headquarters, Paris.
