Summary: Newsreel item on the marriage of Lord Louis Mountbatten to Edwina Ashley at Saint Margaret's Church, Westminster, 18th July 1922.
Description: The bride and groom emerge from the church through the arch of crossed swords formed by naval officers. A party of sailors pulls the bridal car along by a rope as cameramen jump out of the way. The rest of the congregation emerges from the church, led by the King and Queen, the Dowager Queen Alexandra, and the Prince of Wales escorting Mary Ashley as maid of honour. The sailors tow the car to Brook House in Upper Brook Street. Inside, the wedding party arranges itself for photographs - the bride and groom with the Prince as best man and the maid of honour.
