- Summary: Collection of miscellaneous naval scenes from the First World War.
- Description: I. High-angle medium close-up of submarines H.34 and H.29 alongside cameraship. H.29, which lies outboard, makes sternway. Close-up of the conning tower of H.34 as crew cast off - in the background, H.29 swings round from port profile to bows on. H.29 and H.34 lie off, as a third submarine, not previously visible, makes sternway from its position alongside. II. Medium shot off the port beam, and medium long shot off the port quarter as PC.43 passes. III. Interior of an Italian submarine - officer descends from the conning tower to use the periscope. IV. Onboard medium close-up as some form of submarine detection equipment (?) is lowered over a ship's side. V. Long shot of submarine H.33 surfacing, and medium shot off the port beam as she passes the camera. Pan over slight sea to hold on periscope feather. Medium shot to medium close-up of periscope cutting the surface (camera pitching badly in the swell). Aerial long shot of periscope wake, and medium long shot passing over two K Class submarines. VI. Medium shot from vessel approaching an unidentified waterfront. VII. Medium shot over the stern of a vessel operating an A Type smoke apparatus - the smoke fills the frame. VIII. U.162 passes left to right, the camera holding on her starboard quarter as she moves away, trailing diesel exhaust fumes. Long shot of the conning tower of a submerging submarine, framed to simulate binocular vision. Close-up of controller's hands on wheel controlling bearing of asdic gear. Further shots of U.162 intercut with PC boats (cf IWM 1153), and submarine running at periscope depth. Final medium shot of H.33 running nearly submerged.
