Description: The cameraman dwells on a picturesque and seemingly unspoilt stretch of the River Orne two miles upstream from Caen, at Fleury-sur-Orne. Nearby, a Class 40 Bailey Bridge built by Canadian sappers spans the river across which three Universal carriers are seen motoring towards 2nd Canadian Corps' front astride the Caen-Falaise highway.
Notes: Note: Best seen with footage showing the River Orne, notably coverage of the construction of Bailey Bridges near Bénouville and of 8th Corps' formations crossing into the Orne bridge-head for Operation "Goodwood" and of the establishment by 12th Corps of a bridge-head over the Orne at Goupillieres.
Remarks: Good footage best seen with the items of ciné material referred to above.
