Summary: I. Portuguese language version of a German newsreel of their own forces on the Eastern Front, autumn 1915.
II. Portuguese language version of a German newsreel of their own forces on the Western Front, autumn 1915.
Description: The soldiers prepare wood-and-earth shelters for themselves and their horses for the forthcoming winter in Russian Poland. At "Chassina" (presumably in Poland) the town is a smoking ruin an hour after the Russians have retreated from it.
A marching column with mounted officers moves out of a town and towards the front lines. A supply officer delivers food and drink to troops on the Ypres ridges. A reserve line shelter, probably a regimental command post, near the Ypres ridges. A French church destroyed by shellfire, possibly near Lille. A temporary wooden bridge over the River Lys near Lille. Near the front lines soldiers dig "gas trenches" for enemy gas to collect in, away from their own positions. On the Flanders coast a column of buses is used for ambulance work.
