Description:VIPs at the 1956 Prix General Leclerc competition: Major General A T Macnamara (at the small arms tournament), General Richard N Gale (C-in-C Northern Army Group), General Storke, General Clark, Sir Eugen Millington-Drake and General Hodges (Commanding General, US Army Europe). The competition: French, Dutch and British Troops charge targets, as spectators (including men of the Royal Ulster Rifles) watch. Targets are patched (men of First Sherwood Foresters working the targets): Canadian soldiers charge targets and use machine gun. British and Dutch soldiers on the small arms target range. Presentation ceremony: Sir Eugen Millington-Drake (the competition's founder) addresses the teams and awards the Prix Leclerc trophy to the victorious French team. The US team (2nd place) and the British tram (3rd place) are also congratulated. Medals are awarded.
