Description:As part of the 7th anniversary of AFCE, various events and ceremonies take place. Admiral Fechteler and other officers watch an Italian 762mm rocket being prepared for firing on its launcher. US Navy band arrives, and troops (US Marines platoon, a composite military group, and a platoon of Carabinieri) parade for inspection. Various people make an address, including Admiral Fechteler, Brigadier General A Vlantousis (Greece), Major General C Unia (Italy), Brigadier General Cemal Aydinalp (Turkey) and Group Captain F C P Wright (GB). Tree planting ceremony with Admiral Fechteler; he shakes hands with representatives of various countries. Closing ceremonies with Admiral Fechteler and the representatives of NATO countries.
As part of preparations for Exercise Nodex VIII, high-ranking officers meet inside a tent. At a pier, the ship Black Dragon berths and her cargo (munitions and materials) are unloaded by forklift trucks and placed on tramway cars where they are delivered to unloading point half a mile away. Forklifts come into use once again to unload from the tram cars to trucks, which carry cargo to the railhead for distribution to different areas.
