Summary:USS Saratoga being refuelled: valves are prepared and hoses connected, as lines are drawn across from the tanker ship alongside (the lines drag in the water). Fuel hoses from the tanker are dragged on board and connected; seamen keep tight strain on the lines supporting the hoses. Douglas Skyraider taxies on the deck of the Saratoga. Carrier personnel with ship's telephones. Admiral Auboyneau, General Norstad and other officers on board. Aircraft on and around the flight deck include Demon interceptor taxiing and F9F8 Cougar coming in to land; helicopters (one from Saratoga, one from USS Des Moines) fly overhead. Elevators bring aircraft onto deck. Douglas Skyraiders warm up as Demon comes into land (taking two attempts). Other aircraft landing on, including Douglas Skyraider, A4D medium bomber, mail plane, and another Demon (also shots of personnel including officer in air operations bridge, log checker, ships crew at battle stations and cine cameraman). Aircraft line up for take-off. On the bridge, officers stand watch. Final scenes show the mess halls on board Saratoga.
