Summary: The Royal Navy airship R27 (now under RAF control) making a trial flight at Inchinnan on 8th June 1918.
Description: The airship is shown nose-out in its hangar with the frame of another rigid airship being built beside it. The groundcrew leads the R27 out to its launch ground. The camera gets in close to show the launch and the airship passing overhead. The airship then flies low so that it is silhouetted against the hills surrounding the landing field. It makes another pass at higher altitude, comes in to land, and is led by the groundcrew to its hangar. Probably to use up the film, the women workers on the airship are invited to race, cheering, past the camera. Two naval officers watch the proceedings.
