Summary: Highly disjointed film of a sports meeting held by the RAF contingent in France, 28th April 1919.
Description: The film jumps and pulls-back frequently, making it very hard to follow. It starts with posed groups of football teams. A group of RAF officers, including a chaplain, talk together. Portrait shots, in uniform, of the winners of the various boxing heats: Sergeant Stone who won the lightweight, Corporal Garrett who won the middleweight and heavyweight and Corporal Winfield who won the welterweight divisions. The sports continue with the RAF crowd watching a football match. The winning team poses for photographs and its members are chaired away by the cheering crowd. A rugby match with, again, a posed shot of the winners. The tug-of-war contest also with the winners, followed by the athletes lining up for the start of the cross-country. A 'tote' takes bets. The winner of the cross-country comes in and is cheered by his supporters, who hold up a sign "Where Are They ?". Back at the football match the crowd cheers. In an acted sequence a 'toff' in the crowd has his pocket picked by two 'roughs'.
