- Notes: Note: See with A70 86-3, 87-7 and 8 and 90-11 for material showing 7th Armoured Division units in action during "Goodwood" and refer generally to material taken during the same British offensive. Part (1) of the synopsis was filmed on 19/7/44, part (2) the following day. The 1st SS Panzer Division was responsible for blunting 8th Corps' offensive's drive on the Bourguebus ridge. Remarks: Good shots of the Sherman Crabs moving up into action, raising dust, etc. and of the abandoned Panther tank. Sequences showing Canadian troops examining abandoned German equipment are slightly under-exposed. Best seen with items listed above and A70 85-3 and 8. Documentation/associated material: for a bibliography, refer to books listed in A70 86-3 and also 'Caen : Anvil of Victory' by Alexander McKee.
