A nursing home behind the lines where Copin, his wife and child, and two blind aunts are led out by nurses. Copin was a French soldier captured by Germans in September 1914 who escaped and was hidden by his wife in his own home at Masnières near Cambrai until the village was captured by the British in November 1917. He poses for the camera with his wife and child.
