Description: At Rouen the King poses for a group photograph with Field Marshal Haig, Marshal Foch and General Pétain. At Third Army headquarters, Frohen-le-Grand, later in the day he decorates three men with the Victoria Cross. They are the Reverend T B Hardy, attached to 8th Battalion, the Lincolnshire Regiment, and Sergeant William Gregg and Corporal William Beesley, both of 13th Battalion, the Rifle Brigade. Gregg and Beesley pose together for a photograph.
Leaving Grosvenor House, the site of the Ministry of Food, are Major E A Belcher, the Director of the Fruit and Vegetables Department and S Walton, Assistant Food Controller. The delegates to the conference come down the outside stairs of the building into its gardens. Portrait shots of Belcher and Walton.
British soldiers rest beside a house equipped as a YMCA establishment. With them are German prisoners, some of whom are wounded. A soldier gives a German who is lying on a stretcher a cup of tea. The men are all camera-conscious, but the gesture seems nevertheless natural.
