Summary: Arrival of the Russian Army contingent at Marseilles, 20th April 1916.
Description: A transport ship, the Amiral Latouche Théville, with Russian soldiers lining its decks, is towed into Marseilles harbour. Waiting is a predominantly French reception committee, with officers from the other Allies including Britain. A French hussar regiment waits on parade with drawn sabres. The film changes to a view from a high window overlooking the march of the Russian contingent, led by its band, through the streets to the cheers of civilians.
