Summary: I. "Workers fire guns they make." Men and women who manufacture the 2-pounder and 6-pounder guns are given the opportunity by the Army of firing their weapons. "Badly informed journalists have given the impression that the 2-pounder is out of date," but it is not out of date and is in fact an "unrivalled weapon." The Red Army is asking for more of them.
II. "Lumberjills save timber imports." Girls in the Women's Timber Corps are seen felling trees and transporting logs in the Scottish Highlands. After a four week training course girls go to lumber camps where they are paid between 35/- and 46/- and have the satisfaction of knowing they are really doing something to help win the war. (Scandinavian timber imports have ended).
III. "Moscow meeting." Churchill, Brooke, Wavell and Cadogan arrive at Moscow airport where they are greeted by Molotov, Clark Kerr, Harriman and Shaposhnikov. After the Red Army band has played the national anthems of the three nations who are forging the overthrow of Hitler, the party drives through the streets of Moscow. The Prime Minister poses in the Kremlin with Stalin "of whom he has brought back an excellent impression."
