Summary: I. "The other man's job. Jerricans to can 'Jerry'." Petrol cans are the key to the mechanised war which the United Nations are winning in North Africa. Factory (production scenes) which turns out 5000 cans per day is therefore making a fine contribution to the war effort.
II. "Tunis: all set for victory." Importance of 8th Army's air superiority is emphasised in this report which shows Allied advances on all fronts, including the attack on the Mareth Line, the outflanking move to the South West, the American advance eastwards and capture of Maknassy, as well as the taking of Italian prisoners. USAF Generals Spaatz and Doolittle welcome members of a Turkish Army and Air Force mission on a visit to the Western Desert. Turks are also greeted by General Alexander and elsewhere Montgomery congratulates General Freyberg on his successful outflanking move. Meanwhile the advance against the German lines continues, with the capture of many Nazi prisoners and the shooting down of an enemy bomber beyond the Mareth Line.
