- Description: The Prince visits the Serbian troops in their mountain positions. He dismounts from his horse, talks with his officers and looks out over the position with binoculars before riding away. Soldiers move through the ruins of Craonnelle. A badly-made trench in the Vauclerc area is manned by tired soldiers. Some of the men relax in the rear trenches or sleep in dugouts. There are a number of temporary graves visible. A posed group of a divisional general (no identification) with his staff. Soldiers scramble and walk over the ruins of Craonne. A pan over the California plateau, with shell-bursts on the ridge in the distance. The prisoners leave their tented camp and are taken into the village, where they work repairing shell damage. The work involved is mainly road and building repair, but includes a sawmill cutting timber. In the same area refugees make a temporary village of wooden huts for themselves. After work the German prisoners wash in a nearby river. Four Saint Chamond tanks move down a village street. They are fully opened up and the crews look out through the hatches or ride on top of them. The street shows some battle damage. The fourth tank has the name 'Teddy' on its nose and a small dog is riding on top.
