- Description: The procession, led by priests with lighted candles, files down the steps of the Hofburg followed by the coffin and an escort of Hungarian Life Guards on foot. The coffin is loaded into a hearse. The procession moves out of the palace grounds, with an escort of guards and other soldiers. They include the Austrian Life Guard (the 'Arcièren Leibgarde'), No 1 Infantry Regiment, and No 18 Dragoons.
