Summary: I. Newsreel item on a draft of the Honourable Artillery Company leaving Victoria Station for France, London, June 1915.
II. Newsreel item on French marines in Paris, spring 1915.
III. Newsreel item on French dragoons in Paris, spring 1915.
Description: The men of the draft, possibly for 1st Battalion, march led by their band through the station concourse. The first trainload of the men pulls out of the station, and the men remaining on the platform cheer it out.
The men, with rifles, march through the streets to the cheers of the crowd. The caption reads "Enthusiastic reception of General French in Paris" but there is no sign of him on the film (possibly a mistranslation of an original French caption ?).
The men walk mounted through the quiet streets. The film stresses that they are wearing their new horizon blue uniforms.
