Description: Captain Patou, Commander of the Fighting French destroyer La Combattante, is seen coming ashore onto a Rhino jetty section to join the parade at Courseulles' War Memorial. War-veterans in a jeep, ex-POWs, members of the fire brigade, the local gendarmerie, officials and naval troops from La Combattante join the procession to the Memorial where the Mayor, Doctor Quinquenelle, Captain Patou and two British officers (Beach Group RN Captain Maude and Civil Affairs Captain Prady) lay wreaths in memory of the dead of the 3rd Canadian Division which landed on the beaches of Courseulles.
