Description: Riflemen serving with the 2nd Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment escort four injured members of the 16th Luftwaffe Field Division captured at La Londe to an Advanced Doctoressing Station established by 8th Field Ambulance RAMC at Gazelle. One of the prisoners, a Luftwaffe Feldwebel, is led away to an ambulance by an RAMC orderly and an RAMC despatch rider. Nearby, at a roadblock on the Caen-Douvres-la-Délivrande road (where signboards warn of the proximity of the old German frontline), a DR (despatch rider) escorts a 177th Brigade REME Scammell heavy breakdown lorry with a Loyd carrier in tow on a 40-ton trailer to the rear from 59th (Staffordshire) Division's front; an ambulance jeep returning from 3rd Division's front to the ADS established by 8th Brigade's field ambulance unit follows close behind. A universal carrier, another jeep ambulance, a DR and two Fordson 3-ton lorries carrying sappers from 509th Field Company RE motor past the roadblock towards the front.
