Other titles:AIRCRAFT RECOGNITION (SERIES 9) [Series Title]
Summary: One of a series of training films to aid the recognition of airborne aircraft when viewed from the ground.
Description: The B 66 twin engine medium bomber and reconnaissance aircraft developed from the Douglas A3D Skywarrior is now stationed in England with the United States Air Force (USAF) as another addition to the NATO forces in Europe. With the aid of silhouettes, photographs and animated diagrams, the commentator describes the features of the B 66 aircraft (BB 432. USAF 4432) on the ground.
The B 66 takes off and commentator describes again the salient features in conjunction with the photography taken by the chase aircraft. The prominent swept back wings and two protruding jet engines, underslung on thin pylons of the B 66, make a positive identification easy both from the air and on the ground.
